Camp director and undisputed hall of fame stick man Joel Schumacher brings his stylistic color palette and overt sexuality to this teen vampire movie that doesn’t forget it’s supposed to be scary. The soundtrack, the fashion, the casting of the Coreys, Kiefer Sutherland, Alex Winter and Jami Gertz are all SUCH 80’s decisions and they all FUCKING WORK. So call up the frog brothers and fill your bath tubs with holy water ‘cause the vampires are coming and they’re sexy as FUCK.
