On to day 19 and off to Tokyo where three homeless people find a newborn in the trash and after much discussion decide it’s their mission to get this baby back home to its parents. Look, this movie was actually suggested to me last year by one of you Lunatics (you know who you are) and boy am I glad I listened because god damn if this isn’t one of the greatest Christmas movies ever made. What is it with the Japanese and making the most relatable Christmas stuff? Seriously, between this and Aggretsuko’s Christmas special, I think it’s safe to say that the war on Christmas is over and the Japanese have won. The animation is gorgeous, the story is beautiful and why are you still reading, go watch Tokyo Godfathers NOW.
