Day 4 is the first Monday of our program so we thought we’d start the week light with this tale of the horrors of immortality. Sure there’s more laughs than scares but the mere thought of being caught in the middle of a love triangle for all of eternity is TERRIFYING to me. Full of death, destruction and the ideal blending of practical and digital effects it’s humor is dark and it’s visual style is a throwback to classic horror cinema. If you need more reason than that it’s directed by Robert Zemeckis, has goldie hawn at the height of her powers, Bruce Willis when he gave a shit, Maryl Streep pulling off a to 11 camp performance and Isabella Rosallini matching her energy but nude.
